Easytone Ladies That Lunch

For anyone who knows me or read my last post about Reebok's EasyTone Trainers, you will know by now that I am actually in love with them.  I mean who would have thought I could go out walking in a pair of trainers and tone up my legs and bottom!

On Saturday some of us trialists were invited to London for a feedback and pamper day at Chelsea Harbour Club. And what a day it was!

We were greeted by the gorgeous ladies from Reetalk, Kay and Gia, who checked us in at the Club and showed us to some yummy refreshments.  We then sat down to a presentation by the lovely Sharon from Reebok.  She gave us a sneak preview of the new TrainTone and RunTone that will be coming out soon.  I am rather excited about these, they are just as sleek and stylish as the EasyTone and the colour ways are gorgeous too.  The TrainTone is ideal for the gym/aerobics whereas the RunTone (as the name suggests) is designed to tone whilst running.

We were then interviewed by the talented journalist, author and overall very lovely lady Jane Alexander who also blogs over at Diary of a Desperate Exmoor Woman.  We were all a bit nervous when we realised we were going to be filmed but Jane put us right at ease.  We were asked our thoughts on the EasyTone Trainers and the group verdict of course was unanimous, not one person could say the EasyTone's had not worked for them! There was also a lot of buzz about the FitFlops.  Sharon was wearing some of these and they looked really lovely so I look forward to trying those out, now that we seem to have a summer.  So I will let all you readers know my verdict on those too.

After all the hype of the new TrainTone's and RunTone's we were whisked off to enjoy a afternoon of relaxation and pampering in the Spa.  I had the most amazing massage ever, I think I may have actually fallen asleep it was so good!  There were drinks on the balcony, great company, laughs, a lovely meal for us all and we could not have asked for nicer weather, glorious sunshine right through to the evening.  I would do it all again in an instant.  Take me back!

Thanks so much to Reebok and the Reetalk girlies for an amazing day and for introducing me to my EasyTone's. And thanks also for the wonderful company, such a fun and lovely group of ladies!  And to Carol from New Mummy for being so organised and planning out the journey so I didn't have to :)

Oh So Beautiful...FLUKE Clothing

Did you know, here at Mummy's Shoes, we are quite partial to a cute baby outfit or two? No? Well we are.

When it comes to picking clothes for myself there is so much variety; Monsoon, Karen Millen, Next and lots of privately owned boutiques...but I find it very hard to find unique outfits for Baby Belle.

So you can imagine the delight when a package from FLUKE arrived on my doorstep.

FLUKE are an online clothing store selling girls, boys and baby clothing and accessories.  With twenty years experience in making Kids clothing the attention to detail in their items does not go unnoticed.  Their fabrics are top quality, designs are unique and they even take into consideration the ethical and environmental implications within clothing production. Is this company a dream?  Please go and have a look on their site and you will see just how real and unique their items are www.flukekids.co.uk/

Here are my two favourite items from the 'girls collection'

I'm sure you will agree they are just devine!

When buying online you never really know if items will be the same as the pictures show.  Well you need not worry with Fluke...I can tell you that the clothes are even more adorable in real life! The quality is amazing, materials soft, the details and embroidery are exquisit and BB loves wearing them, especially the skirt! In fact I will share a picture or two with you now:

Motherhood: A journey

We have an amazing prompt this week for The Gallery. And we will even be having our work showcased in a Live Exhibition by PhotoBox at Cybermummy too. The prompt is MOTHERHOOD.

I have chosen these two photos because for me Motherhood isn't just about those first few moments but it is a never ending journey.  Everyday I look at my daughter and I realise how she copies me and my actions and now she has started holding my hand to walk with me.  She is yet to let go and walk alone but I know it will not be long now until she takes those first few steps without me. This is just the beginning of her finding her own path in life.

First Steps: A helping hand on the bridge to life

My husband took this just a week ago and it was our daughters first time she walked.  She was so excited and looking at this picture just fills me with happiness.

Listening, Learning & Taking it in

Reading is one of our favourite pastimes and BB loves books so much.  This picture was taken by my husband when BB was 5 months old, I love the way she looks from me to the book as I am reading.

Some Extra's I had to include

Wordless Wednesday

I love these figurines and these sit on top of our piano at home. They are called Willow Tree

My mum bought our first one which resembles 'me and hubby' together and when I see them all together like this they are like a snapshot of our life

Toning Up...My EasyTones!

I have always been a sporty person, perhaps it was being brought up with 3 brothers that did it, or having an athlete for a dad or a very supportive mum who would drive me from pillar to post when I was little to whatever activity I was participating in.  Whether it was ballet, tap, gymnastics, karate, athletics club, hockey, netball, Rugby club or Bellydance ...I did it ALL!

A year ago I had Baby Belle. Now any mother or father knows that for a certain amount of time we all need an 'adjustment period'.  Having a baby is THE most amazing thing I have ever done in my life and I love her more than words but goodness me it is time consuming and you tend to forget about yourself for a little while because this little bundle is at the centre of all your thoughts.  It is only now, a year on, that I am starting to think about myself again and get back into my orginal state of fitness.

Don't get me wrong I know I am one of the lucky one's.  I did pretty much pingback into shape after having BB and all I have done since is a few situps a week, if that.  I know don't you just hate me...but seriously I still do not feel as physically fit or toned as I did before.

So....How happy was I when I was asked to review Reebok's new EasyTone Trainers? Very happy...the perfect excuse to get back into shape. First I will give you the pictures then I will tell you what is so great about them...

WHAT IS EASYTONE?

The EasyTone's toning technology is based on the benefits of Instability Training that have been proven over time to tone your muscles.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

Reebok uses unique balance pods with moving air built into the shoe that provide natural instability with every step, which forces your muscles to adapt and work harder.

TONING

Compared to a typical foam based walking shoe, EasyTone footwear with balance ball inspired technology generated 28% more gluteus maximus muscle activation, 11% more hamstring activation, and 11% more calf activation.

My Testing

I was not sure what to expect from the EasyTones, I did wonder how a trainer could tone me up.  When the box arrived I was delighted with them.  They are absolutely gorgeous looking so I thought who cares if they work or not!  I can tell you they most certainly DO work though!  I do a lot of walking with Baby Belle so I have worn these for a couple weeks now and they are amazing. The first few days I had achy legs, thighs and bottom and it felt sooo good to know that must mean it is working! I have already seen a difference and so I will be wearing these for some time to come.

And I hear Reebok are also introducing a running version....RunTone....Can't wait!
